What a Good Brother

How stinkin' cute is this??? I love the times he is sugary sweet to his baby sister. Moments like this often seem few and far between so I can't help but cherish them when they come up.

Go Suns!!

A couple weeks ago we took Matix to do one of his favorite things...watch the Suns play. I swear that kid knows each player by name and knows more about the coach than even I do. He is, like his daddy, a sports fanatic. His daily play activities include at least 10 basketball games where he assigns each person a name. He'll say, "Dad, you're Barbosa, I'm Steve Nash, Mom, you're Raja Bell". Demanding little kid. After about the 8th game, Derek usually says "No, I'll be D'Antoni" that way he can sit and watch him:). Now D'Antoni has become a regular part of Matixs' games. Boys are so much fun!

After the game they were handing out this little french fry coupons that Matix was so excited about. He said no less than 100 times on the way home, "Let's go get our french fries from Old McDonald!!" Nothing beats Old McDonald after a game...

Barry Bonds

So Matix walked in my room the other day only minutes after he had sat down to color at the kitchen table. Much to my surprise, this is what I saw....

The little squirt had scribbled with marker ALL OVER himself!!! We're talking hands, arms, mouth, and even tongue!! Perplexed, I asked him what the heck he did that for. His answer to me was "I have tattoos like Barry Bonds"!!! What????? How...what the....wow!! I was laughing, but a little scared at the same time how a little 2 year old had picked up on his own (and wanted to copy) something like that. Scary to think what our kids are being taught is and isn't acceptable by what they see on TV. It made me think twice about the stuff I expose them too. Their minds really are like little sponges. Funny though, you have to admit:).

Buddies For Life

We are fortunate enough to live right across the street from Matix's best buddy and cousin, Tate. These are some of my favorite pictures of the two of them chillin' together. It is so much fun to see them grow together, and finally be at an age where they can play and understand each other (well, for the most part:)). We LOVE Tater Tot!!
Grubbin' at Tate's house.

My son is obsessed with that darn dragon cape...

Happy 70th Birthday, Grandpa!

70 years old, and I swear that man could outrun any one my own age. He really has the heart and body younger than most 35 year old's I know. Grandpa Jack turned 70 this week so we had a big surprise party at Vito's Pizza last weekend. It was great to see all of my aunts, uncles, and cousins on my dad's side again. I think this was the first get-together we have had in YEARS (very possibly 10+ years) where everyone was able to make it. Here's the Birthday Boy and our sweet grandma...SURPRISE!!!!!

Grandma Sue and Grandpa Jack with my Dad's family...Yes, that is me in the striped dress. I was "Dr. Seuss" to all of my uncles and brothers that day. Thanks, guys!!

The whole zambonie! My grandparents 7 kids' families. Wow, how awesome it must be for them to see their great big family all together and doing well.
And their own kids. My Dad and his brothers and sisters.
Mar Mar loving on her GREAT Grandpa!!
Matix loving on his GREAT Grandpa.
The beautiful women of the Lane Family:). My Aunt Lori, Aunt Kathy, and my Mom.
Daddy having fun with his kiddos. Marley was loving Brooklynn's binky, she thought it was funny to act like a baby.
A few of the grand kids watching their grandpa sing his birthday song! Yeah, its a Lane tradition. We make each other sing on our birthdays. Too bad we all have horrible voices!!!! Well not all of us...just my dad's kids:):):)
The granddaughters, minus me. I think I was busy chasing down my little Marz.
Got her!!
More grand kids...
Darryn and Alexa eating some pizza.
Mo and Kristen...
And beautiful lil Brooklynn.
My very own Mom and Dad.
Awe after almost 3 decade of being married, he still is in awe of her!! So sweet.
More grand kids...
Matix with uncle Denver.
Marley and Noey.
So there you have it, the 70th Birthday Bash of one of the most wonderful people I have ever known in my lifetime, My Grandpa. I feel so blessed to have such a great man at the head of our big 'ol family. He really has taught us all a lot and has been a great source of advice for me in my life personally. I am grateful to be able to call him Grandpa. Happy Birthday Grandpa!!

My Little Babies

I have so many cute pictures of my kids I thought I would put together some of my favorites...in the month of November. Geesh!! I have sooo many of them, but I love it. Can never have too many.

This first one is for you, Grandma Jude! Finally, I am posting the picture of Marley in the ADORABLE rocking chair that you got her for her birthday. She loves it. She especially loves rocking (and kissing) her baby dolls in it. So cute!! Um, yeah, the tag is still on. I am THE WORST at taking tags off. It is honestly the least important thing on my list of important things. I actually found a tag on my dress I was wearing at a party the other night...thank goodness no one saw. Or did you, Bunko Babes?? Anyway back to Mar Mar...

I have to admit one of my MAJOR obsessions. As ridiculous as it may sound, I am OBSESSED with kids clothes!! I seriously get the biggest rush out of putting my kids in cute outfits. I know, lame, huh?? Well, some women have shoe or bag or makeup obsessions....not me...I'm all about my kids clothes. I wouldn't doubt if I were that mom that people were like "gosh, her kids always look cute, why can't she get herself together???" Ha! Seriously, I don't care a tenth as much about my clothes as my kids'.:) This has to be one of my favorite outfits of Matix's. This was a couple weeks ago before leaving to church. Thanks to Mele for the help (she is the best!!!!).

Sweet and simple, but my current fav or Mar's....
Oh, yes, cannot forget my favorite part of the outfit...the matching bloomers...

Aren't those the best?!?!
This is Marley's new favorite pastime. Picking her nose. She does it at home, at the mall, in family pictures, in church....you name it. She doesn't really pick her nose, she just knows she can get a laugh out of anyone around when she sticks her finger in that hole in her head. Crazy girl.
And my two babies loving on each other. I love you guys!!

Turkey Day '07

Isn’t Thanksgiving the best holiday ever? You get to relax, enjoy family, and eat lots of good food!! Yeah, not so much on the relaxing part or the eating part when you are cooking and chasing two little kids around, but we had a blast. And yes, I DID cook this year!! A lot, I am proud to say. In fact, I cooked until 4am the night before! This Thanksgiving was spent at my mom and dad’s house with my brothers and their families. It was low key and fun. There is never a dull moment at my parent’s house!!! Border line crazy….:). Gotta love it! Marley in outfit #1.
This is the ONLY picture you will see of me and I hesitate even posting it because of my nice left eye. I ALWAYS have the worst holiday pictures. I’m either 8 months pregnant, have the flu, or recovering from an appendectomy or a knee surgery. It’s almost a joke. This year I was greeted by PINK EYE!! Yeah, at least I wasn’t contagious by Thanksgiving Day. I might add that once the pink eye was gone it one eye, I woke up with it in the other, THE DAY BEFORE I HAD SCHEDULED FAMILY PICTURES!!! That’s a whole other story though. Bottom line, DON’T ZOOM THIS PICTURE!!!!
You zoomed it, didn't ya?
Oh, I take that back. I WILL do one more picture with me in it…only because this is the only group shot we have of this entire weekend. Marley’s in outfit #2 already.

My little bro, Denver, lighting the dinner candles. Sorry, Denver, this is the only picture I had of you and didn’t want you to feel left out:).
Darryn and his beautiful wife, Alexa, who also happens to be Kristen’s (G-mo’s wife) sister…we keep it in the family…

The best Mom and Dad ever!!
Kristen and sweet lil Brooklynn…
Mar Mar is such a girlie girl. She loved that the napkin rings doubled as bracelets. She was getting ticked that she couldn’t get ‘em on fast enough….
Break time…taking a bite of a roll before she tackled the napkin rings from the other side of the table.
Matix getting psyched to eat his “turkey, pumpkin pie, and tomatoes”. Tomatoes??? Sure, whatever. But, that’s all he talked about for days leading up to Thanksgiving.
Matix and his best buddy…
His favorite part! He didn’t like the pie so much, but that whip cream…mmmm…he LOVED it!! He kept asking for pumpkin pie just so he could lick off the whip cream.
Tate slept through most of dinner. He is so dang cute when he first wakes up. Aww….
Typical girl…Marley went back for a late night snack and wanted to veg. We were laughing at how incredibly ladylike she is in this picture..NOT. Outfit #3. AKA PJ’s.

Like father, like son. As I was getting set to take another picture of Marley on her chair, Tate jumps in front of the camera from out of nowhere yelling “CHEEEETH!!!!” with his adorable little lisp. Such a G-mo thing to do…always trying to get in every picture that is being taken. Tate had us cracking up.
And, the picture I was trying to get of Marley before Tate hopped in:). She loves that TIME OUT chair that Noey (my mom)has. Hey, I don’t blame her….

This Time Last Year....
