Fun at Pa and Noey's w/ Jude and Papa!!

My mom's mom and dad (Jude and Papa) came into town for Christmas this year, just like always. They are ALWAYS SO MUCH FUN! We just love them. A few days before Christmas we headed over to my parents to hang out with them before the festivities began.
The next few pictures need an explanation. Matix is a die hard 2 1/2 year old rocker already. This kid plays air guitar, air drums, bang his head, makes one person play piano, makes another play harmonica, until he has a full band, complete with dancers, singers and all! He is outta control!! So here is him designating to Noey (my mom). He is showing her how to play air guitar so he can play the piano, and you cannot see, but he has the entire family included in his little rock band...including Marley, who DOES play along.

After his little rock band disolved, he decided to steal Mommy's boots and hightail his butt into the family room...

I think Matix has found a new best friend. Papa Ken is, hands down, the best story-teller alive. Matix seriously sat there glued to him for an hour...thats not an exageration either. Possibly longer.

Christmas Clothes

I didn't really buy my kids "Christmas" Christmas clothes this year, but happily used the excuse to buy them at least SOME cute clothes to wear to church the Sunday before Christmas.
What the heck?!?! He is SUCH a poser!!
Too precious...
Matix knows how to push her buttons to tick her off...or maybe it's the fact that I take way too many pictures of her.

Gingerbread House - Christmas '07...

Here's a peak at our late night last month making our Grinch gingerbread house. We had tons of fun, though I had to stop myself a few times from saying, "No Matix!! Don't put it there, put it on this side..." We parents get way too involved sometimes. Shortly after starting, I realized this wasn't about me or trying to redo the crappy gingerbread houses I had done when I was younger, but it was about Matix having fun doing whatever the heck he wanted to. I must say, it turned out pretty darn good! I do have to admit that I cheated a little...the glue gun was the best swap ever for the annoying LONG drying icing that you have to try to stick those walls together with. You never eat these things anyway...

Look at Mar Mar in the back round there...too cheesy!

Break for a hug...More cheesy Marley!! About half way done! It was about here that I started wondering how these things take so darn long!!Wallah!! Finally finished!

DATE NIGHT!!!!

We had so much fun this night with some of our favorite friends! We went to a stand up comedy show with Bo and Brooke Brown, and Jason and Brittany Williams and seriously laughed way too hard! We love you guys!
Me and my hot hubby.
So, every time I hang out with these girls I show up with the same outfit as one of them. This night Brittany and I showed up with brown sweaters, jeans and brown boots. CRAZY!!
The whole clan.
Our hunky men!

Temple Lights...soooo long ago!!

Brooke, you're going to laugh at me. I know this was almost 2 months ago, but I am just now doing my blogging that I wish I would have kept up on so long ago. We went with the Martin's to see Temple lights, and again, this was Mar Mar's very first Temple light sighting. We had so much fun! Thanks Martins!!

I am SO IN LOVE WITH THIS LITTLE THING!!!!!!Matix and Taylin couldn't stay away from each other! I will mention that these pictures did not make Papa Farnsworth too happy!!:)

Mucinex Man

Just like everyone else, I LOVE taking pictures of my kiddos. These are some cute ones from last month. I HAD to put one of Matix's favorite shorts. I'm not sure if anyone has seen that Mucinex commercial with that western style Mucinex Mucus Man walking through town, but I swear Matix has the EXACT shorts that the Mucinex Mucus Man is wearing. Its so funny!! It happens to be Matix's favorite commercial as well, so I had to get some pics in his Mucinex shorts:):):)
The Mucinex Man himself...
My sweet pea...
Aww...

Power Ranch Christmas Party '07

Over a month ago, we went the the Power Ranch Christmas shin dig at the main clubhouse. It was so long ago, but I have to post because this was the first time my kids had ever seen snow! Yes, it was man-made, but snow nonetheless. Matix had seen cartoons and movies with snow in them, but I have to wonder how he thought it would be...after all, he had never actually touched it. Anyway, we had tons of fun playing, building snowmen (very mini ones), and having snowball fights. Here are a few pictures.

This was Matix's very first Frosty! He was so excited to build it.

Watching the fishes in the pond.

Matix and his buddy Hudson...

Every kid loves to eat snow! If they only knew how dirty it was...

KC the Great

Two days a week, I have an AMAZING girl named KC come watch the kids while I go into the office. She is incredible!!! Which is so hard to find, especially when I was COMPLETELY spoiled by Mele, the all-time BEST NANNY!! Anyway, it is so hard for me to feel comfortable leaving my kids with someone, but for the first time in a long time Matix and Marley BOTH are soooo excited for me to LEAVE!!! It kinda makes me sad, but at the same time it makes me happy that they love KC as much as they do. She reads, plays, teaches them, takes them to the park, takes them to Bounce-U, cleans, DOES MY LAUNDRY, ORGANIZES MY CABINETS!!!!! ALL WITHOUT ASKING!!!:):):) Anyway, I came home the other day to the cutest little finger painted pictures that she had helped the kids do. I was so excited to unload my camera and find that she had snapped some pics of them in action.

CLEAN-UP TIME!!!

This Time Last Year....
